Beliefs

Our Core Values

TRUTH

(2 Tim 3:16; James 1:22) The primary way that we know the Lord Jesus is through the bible. The central way that God establishes His rule is the teaching and applying of His inspired Word. The avenue in which this should take place is the expository preaching of God’s Word.

LOFTY VIEW OF GOD

(Isaiah 6) we value a thirst for God (Psalm 42:1-2);

This thirst prompts in us:

• Holy living- a hatred of sin and the love of righteousness.

• A demand for excellence in all we do.

• An increasing involvement in private and corporate worship.

FREEDOM IN CHRIST

(II Cor. 3:17) Loyalty, not to man, but to Christ; our ethic

is found in emulating Christ in the power of the Holy Spirit.

PRAYER

(James 5:17, Acts 2:42) After we receive truth, cultivate a lofty view of

God, and grow in our freedom in Christ confident and effective prayer is an outflow. It is

an intricate part of living in the Spirit and the fuel of our personal and corporate worship.

THE BIBLICAL FAMILY UNIT

(Eph. 6:1-4, Dt. 6:4-6) Our ministry is designed to

strengthen the family, not undercut it. We are eager to define aright the biblical role of

male leadership. We want to create an atmosphere that enables parents to take the role

as the main disciplers of their children.

THE BLESSINGS AND DEMANDS

OF BEING IN THE COVENANT COMMUNITY

(Acts 2:42-47) The great privileges of being in family-like relationships

demands a stewarding of our spiritual gifts, our time and our resources.

SMALL GROUPS

(Acts 20:20, Mark 3:14) Our primary vehicle of discipleship is

small groups of up to 15 people. Small Groups is where community, discipleship, and

accountability is fostered.

LIFESTYLE EVANGELISM

(Matt. 28:19-21) Living empowered by the Holy Spirit

we belief personal relationships fuel the ministry of the church not large events. We

strive to live on mission. Making most of our workplace and opening our homes to others

that we might share the gospel in our personal circles.
